MVN050 created the event Future Space Transportation Autumn Session (Wed, Oct 29th 2025).

The Future Space Transportation Autumn Session will take place on 29 October 2025 in Paris, advancing Europe’s independent, resilient, and commercially viable space transportation capabilities. Following the success of the ESA Future Space Transportation Award Ceremony on 9 October 2024 and the FLPP Spring Session on 2 April 2025—each gathering around 200 participants on-site and as many online—a third edition, the ESA Future Space Transportation Autumn Session, will be held in Paris on 29…

z1ngaro replied to the thread Boeing's Impact on Global Travel: Shaping the Future of Aviation.

ZiZi_Plasma replied to the thread The Mystery of the Fermi Paradox.

Moin zusammen! Was meint ihr dazu?

Korpen replied to the thread For how long can we survive without the moon?.

Moin zusammen, voll spannende Diskussion hier!

hockeyplayer15d replied to the thread How do wired and wireless networks differ from one another?.

Moin zusammen!

Hoikka replied to the thread How advanced is Russia's space technology?.

Moin zusammen! 🚀

josh1235678 replied to the thread Some cool facts about the Universe?.

Grüße! It's wild to think how tiny and irrelevant we are in the grand scheme, right? Everyone talks about the big stuff, but did you know that, technically, because of quantum uncertainty, some particles on Earth could randomly “teleport” across the universe (not that it happens, but the math says it's not impossible 😏)? Makes losing your keys sound less dramatic! Also, speaking of Jupiter —if you could survive the pressure and the storms, time would pass a bit slower for you there than…

Korpen replied to the thread New Satellite in Orbit!.

Moin zusammen, this may be a stupid question, but does anyone know if the satellite has any specific plan for future upgrades? Like, would be awesome if they could make it modular so students or researchers could change instruments and run different experiments each year. Would keep things fresh for everyone! 🚀 And I get Clavince's point… there's a real risk of crowded orbits. Maybe we should push for more satellites with deorbiting tech or reusable designs? Otherwise, we're gonna end up…

gtvo replied to the thread Living in Mars.

Moin zusammen!

MVN050 created the event The After (Tue, Jun 17th 2025, 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm).

CNES, ESA and Aerospace Angels are glad to invite you to attend THE AFTER, a special Investors event in Paris, organized in the frame of SPACELY (the space investors club powered by CNES) and ESA investors network initiative. 40 high potential companies will pitch on this occasion, a great opportunity for you to have a 360 vision to invest in the European Space Sector. We will have also the great pleasure to welcome a Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) delegation and several Japanese…

MVN050 created the event International Paris Air Show (Mon, Jun 16th 2025 – Sun, Jun 22nd 2025).

The European Space Agency will be present at the 55th edition of International Paris Air Show, taking place on 16-22 June at Le Bourget airport. ESA will join French space agency CNES and the aerospace industry in the newly established ‘Paris Space Hub’ — an initiative by GIFAS (Groupement des Industries Françaises Aéronautiques et Spatiales), highlighting the importance of space at this prestigious event. Located near the Ariane launchers at the Air and Space Museum, the Paris Space Hub…

ZiZi_Plasma replied to the thread For how long can we survive without the moon?.

Moin Leute!

hockeyplayer15d posted the thread The Role of Telescopes in Major Astronomical Discoveries.

Hi everyone, The role of telescopes in major astronomical discoveries is undeniably significant. From the moment Galileo first pointed his telescope to the heavens, a new era of discovery began. Telescopes have allowed us to see moons orbiting other planets, identify distant galaxies, and detect cosmic phenomena that were beyond our reach. The development of more advanced telescopes has consistently pushed the boundaries of what we know about our universe. From ground-based observatories to…

ZiZi_Plasma replied to the thread Which space books do you enjoy reading?.

Moin zusammen! Was catcht euch mehr? 🚀

Has added the entry Sun to the lexicon.

The Sun is the central star of the Solar System and the primary source of light, heat, and energy for Earth and the other planets. It is a nearly perfect sphere of hot plasma, composed primarily of hydrogen and helium, undergoing nuclear fusion at its core. As the closest star to Earth, the Sun plays a vital role in sustaining life and driving planetary climate, weather, and orbital dynamics.
June 7, 2025 at 11:02 PM

Has added the entry Neptune to the lexicon.

Neptune is the eighth and farthest known planet from the Sun in the Solar System. It is a cold, dynamic ice giant, known for its intense blue color, supersonic winds, and dark storm systems. Though invisible to the naked eye, Neptune was the first planet discovered through mathematical prediction rather than direct observation.
June 7, 2025 at 10:50 PM

Has added the entry Uranus to the lexicon.

Uranus is the seventh planet from the Sun and the third-largest by diameter in the Solar System. It is a gas giant (sometimes classified as an ice giant) with a distinct bluish-green color due to methane in its atmosphere. Uranus is unique among the planets for its extreme axial tilt of 98 degrees, causing it to essentially roll on its side as it orbits the Sun.
June 7, 2025 at 10:48 PM

Has added the entry Jupiter to the lexicon.

Jupiter is the fifth planet from the Sun and the largest in the Solar System. A massive gas giant, Jupiter is more than twice as massive as all the other planets combined. Known for its powerful storms, iconic Great Red Spot, and extensive system of moons and rings, Jupiter plays a crucial role in the dynamics of the Solar System.
June 7, 2025 at 10:46 PM

Has added the entry Mercury to the lexicon.

Mercury is the innermost planet in the Solar System and the smallest of the eight major planets. It orbits closest to the Sun and completes a full orbit faster than any other planet — earning it the name of the messenger god in Roman mythology. Despite its proximity to the Sun, Mercury is not the hottest planet, due to its extremely thin atmosphere.
