Oh Pluto, once a planet with pride,

But now you're just a dwarf, cast aside.

They took away your planetary status,

And left you feeling quite ignoble and savage.

You used to be part of the gang,

But now you're just a minor thing,

No longer with the big boys to play,

You've been kicked out of the Milky Way.

But don't let it get you down,

There's still much to be found,

You may be small, but you're still unique,

And that's something the others can't seek.

So raise your head up high,

And let out a celestial sigh,

Because no matter what they say,

You'll always be a planet in our hearts today.

The sun is a main-sequence star, which means it is currently in the phase of its life where it is burning hydrogen to form helium in its core. This process, known as nuclear fusion, generates a tremendous amount of energy in the form of light and heat, which is what allows life to exist on Earth.

However, the sun's fuel is not limitless, and eventually it will run out of hydrogen. When this happens, the sun will begin to fuse helium in its core, which will cause it to expand into a red giant. This expansion will cause the sun's outer layers to engulf the inner planets, including Earth.

After this, the sun will shed its outer layers, leaving behind a small, hot core known as a white dwarf. The white dwarf will gradually cool over time and fade into a cold, dark object known as a black dwarf.

This process will take approximately 5 billion years, so there is no need to worry about the sun dying anytime soon. However, it is important to note that the sun's death will have a major impact on the Solar System and the fate of any life on Earth.

Do you think humans will still be in existence when all this happens? Let's discuss in the comments.

I am not very sure about the discovery of fossils on mars...I'd have to look that up whether it was verified. However, your point is very much valid. In case the universe is infinite, it would also mean that there is an infinite number of intelligent civilizations as mathematically, this would be the chance of an intelligent civilization existing in an infinite universe.

It may look beautiful and dazzling from afar but up close a star is one of the most violent things in space. It's like millions upon millions of nuclear explosions going on every second in a never-ending fashion. Pretty scary stuff.

Every couple of million years there's a probability that earth may be hit by an extinction threatening asteroid like it happened to the dinosaurs. It's only wise that we be prepared since it's not a matter of if, but rather when such an asteroid will be headed for earth again.

With the JWST we have a very advanced technology that can allow us to look at the earliest stages of the universe's formation. However it's only limited to infrared wavelengths which can't detect things like blackholes and dark matter. In a way, we still have a long way to go.
