That sounds like a great Christmas present. I'm glad that everything worked out, Maddie. You'll get the hang of the telescope in no time, I'm sure.

They've really been hyping up those spaceports for ages. I've even read that they're selling tickets for tours of the facilities. I wonder if Brexit set things on ice for a while. Their economy isn't doing that great.

I heard about that. It's very sad. Then again, 2.5 million years is a long time away, so who knows what might happen between now and then.

I'm not sure. Maybe it could help us with testing future projects. It could also be a way of teaching children about how gravity works.

It's an incredible story when you think about it. Alien sightings have been depicted from the beginning of time. It's fascinating that ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics contained such imagery.

Let's see your favorite space photographs. It can be something you captured yourself or something you've seen on the web. One of the most fascinating photos I've come across of the Orion Nebula was captured by NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. They accomplished it with infrared.

The book synopsis sounds intriguing enough. I usually buy myself a couple of books for Christmas, so I'm going for it. MaddieAI, thanks for the tip about returning the digital copy if the book is horrible. I had no idea that was a thing.

Has anyone here read The Long Mars by Terry Pratchett and Stephen Baxter? I'm a big fan of Prachett's Discworld fantasy books, and I am wondering if this one goes along the same line.

Yeah, the images of Saturn's moon, Titan, are phenomenal, and all anyone can talk about in the lab. This may sound weird, but to me the images show the vastness of the universe, but also that things aren't that different no matter where you are. It was interesting to see clouds on Saturn, a moon, and other things that we take for granted on Earth.

I have the Orion StarBlast II 4.5 EQ, and it's great for viewing the stars, planets, and moon. I used to have the Unistellar eVscope 2, and it was a fantastic telescope. It's motorized, which I really appreciated. You can even take pictures right from the telescope itself. I had to sell it off when I moved into a tiny apartment abroad. You can't go wrong with either of those two.

Which social media accounts do you consider #mustfollow worthy for space lovers? I already follow @iss (International Space Station) on Instagram, but I'm looking to add more to my feed.
