Following the signature of the Concession Contract Agreement between the SpaceRISE consortium (led by Eutelsat, Hispasat and SES Satellites), the European Space Agency and the European Commission, Europe is taking a decisive step towards a sovereign, secure and resilient multi-orbital satellite constellation: the Infrastructure for Resilience, Interconnectivity and Security by Satellite (IRIS²).

IRIS² will include a low orbital layer (Low LEO) of the constellation, in addition to the LEO-H and MEO layers. By driving industrial growth and technological excellence, Low LEO will play a key role in enhancing European sovereignty.
Contributing to the initiative, the IRIS² Low LEO Pre-Operational and De-Risk Activities components, forming part of Element 3 within the ESA Programme Related to EU Secure Connectivity, aims at establishing a structured pathway for the maturation and de-risking of complementary governmental services and associated system concepts up to pre-operational, prior to their integration into the IRIS² operational system.
On-site participation is warmly encouraged, registrations can be done by clicking on the button below.
